The Value Chain Analysis conducted for BMW is consistent with the learnings in our textbook. The attached analysis is consistent with views of the organization in a sequential process of value-creating activities.
Primary activities includes inbound logistics, operations, outbound logistics, marketing and sales, and service. These activities contributes to the physical creation of this company's product and services.
Support activities includes firm infrastructure, human resources, technology development, and procurement. These activities either add value individually or through relationships with both primary and other support activities.
An example of this for my company would include the collaboration between operations (SME trainers), human resources (Pay for Skill Development), and learning and development (Trainer development, materials, and training plans).
